Here we’ve collected a few of the top wedding trends we’ve noticed during 2015. If you’re a bride-to-be (or groom-to-be) planning a wedding in the near future, here’s what you need to know about what’s trending in 2015!

1. GoPro Photos and Videos

Some brides and grooms are using GoPro cameras to capture their big day from a variety of perspectives. From having the officiant wear the camera to capture the ceremony to strapping the camera to a selfie-stick at the reception and passing it around among guests, using a GoPro is a creative way to snap candid wedding day photos. These photos and videos supplement those provided by a traditional photographer and can help you remember the day for years to come!

2. Wild (Looking) Flower Arrangements

Rather than perfectly matched, uniform bouquets and centerpieces made of one specific type of flower, wedding flower arrangements are now trending towards more wild-looking bunches. Including a variety of flowers as well as non-floral items like pine cones and acorns, creates the image of a fresh-picked bouquet. Many brides are choosing to include seasonal blooms in their wild looking flower arrangements, a budget savvy choice that fits well with this just-picked trend.

3. Late Night Snacks and After Parties

For many brides and grooms in 2015, the end of the reception doesn’t signal the end of the celebration. Lots of couples are adding low-key get-togethers following their wedding receptions. These after parties include everything from outdoor bonfires to late night snacks served in a separate reception area and informal gatherings at local bars or restaurants.

4. More Groom Involvement in the Wedding Planning Process

Watch out brides! Whether you like it or not, grooms are starting to be more involved in the wedding planning process. This has been a trend that’s been developing over the last few years. Now more than ever, brides-to-be and grooms-to-be are sharing the wedding planning responsibilities and decision-making, taking on the task of planning their big day together.

5. Modern, Sophisticated Themes

While rustic weddings have been trending for the past few years, the rustic trend seems to be waning once again in 2015. Weddings these days tend to be shifting towards more modern, sophisticated and sleek, featuring white or ivory, metallics, elaborate shapes and clean lines.

Happy Wedding Planning!

If you’re planning a 2015 wedding, keep these trends in mind. Whether you want your wedding to be trendy, or you’d rather be a trend-setter and go against the grain, it’s good to know what’s trending in the world of weddings!
